About
Margie Christie

I was born into a hard-working family in Kettering, Ohio.  I graduated from Carroll High School and the University of Dayton.  I earned a degree in International Studies with a minor in History and French.  It was during my time at UD that I met my husband, Dan, and we married in 1989.

Family Life

Together, we raised four children who excelled as athletes, all playing basketball at some level in college. Our lives were filled with travel, games, and friendships. We cherish every moment of those busy years. We have now added 3 granddaughters to our family and enjoy making new family memories.  For over 30 years we have been active members of St. Henry Parish in Dayton.

Professional Journey

In the late 1990s, I spent nearly 15 years working as a travel agent at All World Travel in downtown Dayton. In 2008, I paused my career to care for my father during his last years. The following year, I joined board of Dayton Right to Life, managing this role alongside my caregiving duties. Over time, I held various positions within the organization, eventually becoming the full-time Executive Director of both their 501)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities from 2019 until mid-2025.

Commitment to Montgomery County

Montgomery County isn’t just where I live — it’s where I grew up, built relationships, raised my family, and found my purpose. The people and neighborhoods here have shaped my life in countless ways. Because of that, I am fully committed to giving back with everything I have. I will serve our community with honesty, hard work, and the experience I’ve gained over years of advocating for families and strengthening local partnerships. My promise is simple: I will show up, listen, and work tirelessly for the people who call this county home.
